Beit Natan’el is a unique nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding loving homes for abandoned rabbits.
As the only rabbit-focused organization in Israel, Beit Natan’el leads the national effort to protect and care for them.
Today, nearly 200 rescued rabbits live under our care, including permanent residents who have found their safe haven with us. We provide essential medical treatment, ongoing rehabilitation and whenever possible, a warm and loving forever home.
Every rabbit we save receives a true second chance at life.

Beit Natan’el is a safe and loving sanctuary offering abandoned rabbits a genuine second chance at life.
Founded with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome rabbits left on their own, the organization currently cares for nearly 200 residents, including permanent ones who have found their forever refuge here.
Every day, countless rabbits across Israel are discarded, tiny babies, pregnant females, and sometimes entire families. Unable to survive street conditions, they suffer, fall prey to predators, and endure great distress.
We rescue them from private yards, public parks, parking lots and open fields, often in critical condition and bring them to our sanctuary for medical care and rehabilitation.
We are the only nonprofit in Israel dedicated exclusively to saving rabbits.
Our volunteers, motivated by deep compassion, provide daily care and maintain the sanctuary with unwavering commitment
Our work includes nationwide rescues, a dedicated treatment area, adoption days, guidance for proper rabbit care and public-awareness efforts addressing the widespread issue of abandonment.
The Rabbits of Our Sanctuary
The rabbits who arrive at Beit Natan’el come from across the country, mostly from the streets, public gardens, and private yards, and sometimes from neglected environments such as poorly maintained petting corners or private homes.
Many arrive in extremely difficult condition: injured, with broken limbs, sick, suffering from mange, abscesses, infections, dehydration, or severe malnutrition.
We fund comprehensive veterinary care, including surgeries and advanced orthopedic rehabilitation.
At Beit Natan’el, each rabbit undergoes a physical and emotional healing process, sometimes lasting many months, before they are ready for a second chance in a loving home.
Those who remain too fragile, disabled, or sensitive stay with us permanently, turning the sanctuary into their lifelong home.

Diti’s Story
Diti arrived at our sanctuary about four years ago in truly heartbreaking condition. She was severely injured and deformed, infested with parasites, dangerously underweight and emotionally traumatized.
She had been abandoned by the owner of a kiosk in Hadera and was rescued just in time.
Her physical recovery took months, while her emotional healing required even more time and patience.
Terrified by what she had endured, she needed a long period of gentle care before she could trust again.
Today, Diti is one of our cherished permanent residents with special needs and we are grateful for the remarkable recovery she has made.

Our Volunteers
The volunteers of Beit Natan’el are the heart and strength of our mission.
Our work exists thanks to their dedication and compassion for the rabbits.
They come regularly to care for them, feeding, providing water, comforting them and showing them love.
Over time, we have become like a close-knit family, united by one meaningful purpose: to give help, care, and refuge to animals rescued from difficult and painful circumstances.
